Maintenance Actions

I see sustaining and maintaining a creative practice as vital means of survival for all human beings. The photo I chose to submit is a juxtaposition of all the different heart medications that I take laid out on my kitchen table. Much of my practice centers themes of autonomy and reproductive health. Access to abortion has saved my life on more than one occasion, just as my open heart surgery has and heart medications continue to do.
